Born in the late '80s, raised in the '90s, and still kicking, I’m Bijesh Nagesh, aka Joshua Mercott.
I’m a storyteller, a writer, and, by most accounts, one of the weirdest scribes you’ll ever meet.
My novels are the kind only the maddest souls might find intriguing. But hey, someone’s got to tell these tales, and they’ve apparently decided to haunt me instead of another writer. So here we are.
Writing has been my lifeline for as long as I can remember. It’s the thing that keeps me afloat in the chaotic sea of life.
Through my books, I explore the fantastical, the futuristic, and the paranormal, aiming not just to entertain but to venture into uncharted realms with my readers. After all, the Truth is out there—somewhere.
As an independent novelist, I’ve penned The Dark Seraph series (a five-part fiction saga), Long Live Death (a standalone novel), and The Red Leaf (a standalone novella). And trust me, there are more mad tales brewing in the depths of my mind.
Currently, I’m working on a Sci-Fi Fantasy titled License to Die ©, which surprised even me. I suppose I’m like a twisted Halloween gift that never stops giving—or writing, for that matter.
This blog, Mr. Mercott Reviewer, is both my journal and my sanctuary, a place to pour out the chaos bubbling inside me.
Here, you’ll find a solitary writer scribbling away in the dark, clickety-clacking at his keyboard for every rhyme and no reason.
I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve, so don’t be too gobsmacked if you stumble across brutally honest reviews and wild speculations.
Those “Strange Speculations”? Consider them proof of my non-clinical insanity. Proceed with caution.
It’s refreshing to paint shades of Truth in a world so saturated with fakery that even your own shadow might seem suspect.
I pay the bills as a Content/Copy Writer, a role I’ve held for fifteen years (and counting).
The ever-evolving nature of this field keeps me humble and reminds me there’s always room to grow. After all, you’re never as good as you think you are.
This little corner of the internet isn’t for everyone. There's just a lone voice here, singing off-key verses in a spot with a nice echo.
If you like weird moments, honest reviews, and quirky ruminations—on books, movies, shows, and more—or if you’re curious about partaking in the literary misadventures of a “tortured artist” relentlessly pursued by dark and intricate tales, then you may (maybe) find amusement here.
Beyond writing, I’m passionate about acting, particularly in my regional language, Tamizh. This passion has deepened my appreciation for the performing arts, inspired by legends like Meryl Streep and my own grandfather, C.K. Nagesh.
Their work has taught me the power of empathy and the artistry of bringing stories to life.
Let me be clear: I’m not one of those “successful” types—at least not by conventional standards. I face plenty of challenges and am human enough to admit when I’m uncertain.
But as Meryl Streep once said, “The formula for happiness and success is just being actually yourself, in the most vivid possible way you can.” That’s the advice I’m taking to heart as I forge ahead.
If you’ve wandered this far onto my little island in the vast Internet-Sea, congratulations—you’re on a path less traveled and probably best forgotten.
I feel inclined to recall Tolkien’s timeless words: “Not all those who wander are lost.” But you, dear visitor, most certainly are.
