About Me
Born in the late ‘80s, raised in the ‘90s, and still kicking, I’m Bijesh Nagesh, aka Joshua Mercott.
I’m a storyteller, a writer, and, by most accounts, one of the weirdest scribes you’ll ever meet.
Writing has been my lifeline for as long as I can remember. It’s the raft that has kept me afloat in the chaotic sea of existence.
Through my books, I explore the fantastical, the futuristic, and the paranormal, aiming not just to entertain but to venture into uncharted realms with my readers. After all, the Truth is out there—somewhere.
As an indie novelist, I’ve penned The Dark Seraph series (5-part fiction saga), Long Live Death (standalone novel), and The Red Leaf (standalone novella). And there are more mad tales brewing.
My latest book is a Sci-Fi Fantasy titled License to Die ©. reading this one will probably make you realise I’m a twisted Halloween gift that never stops giving—or writing, for that matter.
This portal, Mr. Mercott Reviewer, used to be a wacky space where I put up entertainment reviews and personal 'no-shrooms-involved' speculations.
Now it is a quick intro-portal to me and my books. a place to share the stories that chose me to tell them.
Here, you’ll learn more about a solitary writer scribbling away in the dark, clickety-clacking at his keyboard for every rhyme and no reason.
If you’re curious about partaking in the literary misadventures of a “tortured artist” relentlessly pursued by dark and intricate tales, then you may have found the abyss you've been seeking.
writing aside, I’m passionate about acting, particularly in my regional language, Tamizh.
This 'second love' has deepened my appreciation for the performing arts, inspired by legends like Meryl Streep and my own grandfather, C.K. Nagesh.
Their work has taught me the power of empathy and the artistry of bringing human stories to life.
granted, I’m not one of those “successful” types—at least not by conventional standards. I face my own challenges every hour of everyday and am human enough to admit when life takes a turn for the uncertain.
But as Meryl Streep once said, “The formula for happiness and success is just being actually yourself, in the most vivid possible way you can.” That’s the advice I’m taking to heart as I forge ahead.
since you’ve wandered this far onto my little island in the vast digital-Sea, take a second to appreciate Tolkien’s timeless words: “Not all those who wander are lost.”
you, dear visitor, most certainly are—in the best sense imaginable.
